Get College Smart™ Community Programs
Description: In an auditorium | at a PTO meeting | during Parent/Teacher conferences | or in small group discussions, Dr. Bob opens the doorway to college and career success. He’ll introduce his 12 Strategies and emphasize that students must develop these soft skills in order to succeed in the 21st Century. He’ll encourage students to learn his 12 Strategies as early as middle school.
Intended Audience: Teens, parents, and/or families, teachers, guidance counselors and principals. Note: Parents need to know how to help students with the strategies at home.
Description: Spend an evening or a Sunday afternoon with Dr. Bob in a casual setting such as at a local coffee shop, bistro, or pizza parlor. Get together for a Q&A session, small seminar or workshop. The intimate settings and smaller groups give participants individual time with Dr. Bob.
Choose specific topics like the steps in the admissions process, selecting courses, and the importance of extracurricular activities. Or ask Dr. Bob to select “need-to-know” topics for you. The audience is encouraged to bring lots of questions as this will be the chance to get them answered.
Intended Audience: Teens, parents, families, teachers, guidance counselors, school administrators.
Dinner with Dr. Bob
Description: Over dinner in a quiet, relaxed setting at a local bistro, talk college with Dr. Bob. Bring your own set of questions; learn from those asked by other guests. The limit is 50 people.
Intended Audience: Parents of teens and educational professionals such as teachers, guidance counselors, and principals.
